History and Evolution
Founded in 2002 as Gertrude Matata and Co. Advocates, our firm evolved significantly in 2017 when Jane Wamuyu Waithaka joined forces with Gertrude Matata, forming GMW Advocates. Both partners have extensive management experience in the insurance industry, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership to the firm. GMW is known for its integrity, commitment, and excellent service delivery.
Our Leadership
Jane Waithaka led the legal and claims department at ICEA Lion for nearly 20 years, bringing exceptional management skills to GMW.
Gertrude Matata’s vast experience in litigation, ADR, and law firm management complements Jane’s skills, driving the firm’s growth and success. Together, they have built a formidable team dedicated to client satisfaction.
